Our coastal estate site produces a mouthwatering, mineral and citrus driven Chardonnay that is lively, elegant and delicious. Honeysuckle, lemon curd and flint are in the forefront along with a hint of wild herb and a slight saline note on the long lively finish. Leaner than the 2021 estate Chardonnay, the 2022 vintage combines mild temps and very low yields to produce a taut Chardonnay with incredible balance and persistence. We combine three soils series of ocean floor origins, planted to Dijon 548, Wente and Dijon 76. These sandstone based soils contain deep sea bed rock called radiolarian chert which is formed from deep sea plankton that dropped onto the seafloor millions of years ago and then was pushed and scraped up as part of the formation of our Mendocino Coast Ridges. Don't miss this one.
"refined, elegant, and bright with complex layers of honeycomb, pear and sea spray. "it has length and breadth across a light bodied palate, highlighted by flinty wet stone, sea spray and oyster shell like minerality and a bite of green apple and lime zest."
