The Fashauer Vineyard is located on the west ridge of Anderson Valley at 1200ft elevation and 8 miles from the ocean with soils from the Carbonne-Wohly complex, a deep well drained soil made up of gravelly weathered sandstone and shale from marine origins.  This mid elevation site on a gentle south westerly slope produces  a sexy and delicate Pinot Noir. The color is medium garnet. The nose effusive with dried rose petals, dark cherries, blood orange and savory spice. The palate is savory with dark red fruit , morel mushrooms and black tea with a tinge of cardamon. Would pair beautifully with a herbed roast chicken and smashed potatoes or a simple cheese plate with herbed and nutty cheeses. Showing beautifully upon release and this wine is just getting started.  A not to miss single vineyard offering.  Limited.

"The 2022 Pinot Noir Fashauer Vineyard is the most ethereal of the three Anderson Valley Pinots I tasted from Jason Drew. Crushed flowers, dried red cherry fruit, mint , spice , cedar and sweet pipe tobacco are all beautifully lifted.  This delicate gracious style is all charm. "  Antonio Galloni
