The Estate Mid Slope Pinot Noir is our reserve estate bottling and given extra time in barrel for an elevage of 19 months. We combine Pommard, Swan and Calera selections, along with the Dijon 115 in this very refined estate bottling. Our coastal estate Faîte De Mer Farm sits 3.3 miles from the Pacific Ocean at 1200-1250 feet elevation. We are the most westward vineyard in Mendocino County, which means we are cooler. Our soils are a dynamic melange of ancient oceanic, deep ocean floor sedimentary origins along with a true maritime climate. This vintage combines both power and an ethereal quality gained from additional elevage. The purity, structure and natural aligned acidity we get from this site is stunning. Exotic plums, black cherries, sage, fir tips and black truffle notes are interwoven in layers that continue to unfold. We love the depth of this very sexy bottling and the continual evolution we are seeing as this site has reached maturity. A wine you don't want to miss.
