This is our fourth release from Faîte De Mer Farm our estate property on the far western coastal edge of the Mendocino Ridge . At 1250 ft and 3.3 miles from the ocean, this vineyard is the coolest in our single vineyard portfolio. The purity, structure and natural aligned acidity we get from this site are exceptional. Ancient oceanic soils, providing excellent drainage coupled with the maritime climate makes for a compelling expression of our coastal forest surroundings. We have selected three blocks from the mid slope east field in this estate bottling. These three California heritage selections are the lowest yielding on the ranch at approximately 1.3 tons per acre. Exotic plums, black cherries, sage, fir tips and black truffle notes are signature on the palate and on the nose. We love the depth of this sexy wine and the continual unfolding of layers. Pair with Cassoulet or Seared Duck Breast with plum reduction.  Very Limited.
